Talents
One point per level, three branches, four abilities per character and how to plan your tree.
Points
Each character has their own tree and earns 1 point per level (at level N, N − 1 points).
Branches and rings
Three common branches (attack, defense and support), the same for everyone, in 4 rings. Each node goes up to level 10, and level N of a node costs N × the ring's weight.
| Ring | Weight | Points needed in the lower rings of the branch |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 0 |
| 2 | 2 | 20 |
| 3 | 4 | 100 |
| 4 | 6 | 250 |
Focus nodes of each character yield ×1.5. The Natural Talent node strengthens the character's own passive.
Abilities
Each character has 4 abilities, bought in order. Each one only opens after enough points are spent in the branches (attack + defense + support together):
| Ability | Cost | Points spent in branches |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 10 | 15 |
| 2 | 40 | 90 |
| 3 | 100 | 270 |
| 4 | 200 | 525 |
Planning and resetting
You build a plan of the tree you want and confirm it. Adding points is free; each point taken back costs the character’s level in doubloons, for each level of the node. Changes apply at once, even mid-hunt.
